Post ER
I've done a lot of homework for all this IVF stuff but the one thing I didn't look into was post ER symptoms. OMG the bloating and low back pain is awful! Granted, I should not have gone to work today but I was feeling good last night so I didn't think much of it. Bad decision! Any insight as to how long this lasts and does it get worse post transfer?

omg, i know i told you this already but im in sooo sooo soooo much pain!
my DH actually called the office today and i went in for an evaluation. i definitely have fluid in my pelvis as per a sono and my belly is very distended but not enough to be considered OHSS (thank god!)
any insight as to when this is going to go away will be much appreciated!!! its terrible!!

eta: a heating pad seems to help a bit.

I would say I felt better little by little each day but I would say I really felt better 3-4 days after ER. Good luck ladies!

Ugh im so sorry you're still feeling bad! Its good that you went in. I probably should have done the same. Maybe tomorrow of Fri. Im surprised they don't require a post ER sono to check for OHSS.
Yes, definitely for a good cause! Feel better!!
Oh and it turns out pio isn't so bad!

i felt like i got hit by a truck the day after the ER. luckily mine was a friday so i had the weekend to recover. i wasn't sure if i would be ok for a 5dt cause i suspected i had mild OHSS. i did make it to transfer although they said my ovaries were enlarged they still did the transfer. i started to feel better around the day of the transfer. around 7 or 8 days post ER i woke up feeling normal again and i got worried because i have heard that if you had mild OHSS you would start to feel symptoms again prior to BFP if you were pregnant. at 7dp5dt i got a super super dark BFP and the next day my beta was 197. two days later it was 479 and that day i started to feel TERRIBLE. the OHSS symptoms came back at full force and i gained 9lbs of fluid in like 2 or 3 days and looked about 28w pregnant.
def drink a lot of gatorade and take it easy!

Re: Post ER
Thanks everyone. Today is ever so slightly better than yesterday but still not great. I smartened up and stayed home - which is helping. I am still walking like an old lady and my stomach is bigger than ever but the 'pain' is subsiding. I must be naive but I was not expecting this. I thought I'd be back up and running in no time!
Good news is they confirmed a 5dt today so I'll have another 2 days to recover before going through yet another procedure! Do they check for OHSS before they do the transfer?

It is normal, and it will go away don't worry. All of us who had this said we felt like old ladies hunched over and walking around. I remember drinking Gatorade and sleeping uupright.
