I want to dress her up on Christmas but she'll only be a few weeks old. What else do u put on them when they are that small? I'm clueless about this!

No, its cute! I personally feel like the big poofy dresses with the crinoline under them are too much for small babies. Just doesn't seem comfy. But this doesnt seem poofy.

DH and I were just looking at that dress last night and we wanted to get it too for our DD for Christmas but we were also worried she'd be cold with short sleeves. We were thinking we could get her a little cardigan sweater to go with it but then we decided to wait on it because there wasn't much Christmas stuff out yet. But it is an adorable dress!

I love that dress! I really want it when I saw it a couple weeks ago, but I have a hard time justifying the money.

I say go for it! It's adorable and I love it!! Just have a comfy backup in case she starts fussing. At the very least you'll get some great family holiday pics!

Is this too much for a newborn

First holiday like this that we had with DD was Easter (she was 3 months old) and I thought she looked ridiculous in a dress since she couldn't even sit up on her own. I'm more the cute sleep-n-play type when they're still too small to sit up. Dresses on immobile babies are goofy to me. But that's totally just ME and if you love it, you should do it!!!!

It's so cute, but it's going to challenging to do things like change diapers, and it she might not be able to sleep in it... Definitely pack a comfy spare outfit, just in case.

Chat Icon I think it's adorable and for pictures and church go for it, but after that I would switch to a cute My 1st Christmas outfit. Maybe you could get on etsy and have someone make you one that has cute ruffles on the butt or something.

Diaper changes in a dress are 1000% easier!! No pants, buttons, snaps...just lift the skirt!

I think it's adorable!!!!

Re: Is this too much for a newborn

I am in the minority here but i think it's going to be a PITA with a newborn. Bear was 9w at christmas and a dress was a pain. It's cute for sure... i mean it really depends on your style, honestly. I am not one to put DD in dressy outfits, shoes, etc. but for some people they always have shoes on their kids from when they're born. KWIM? It's just not my thing... lol. I don't have a lot of patience (shocking).

In summer? Absolutely. But DD had some nasty blowouts as a nb, and a dress like that would need tights and probably come with a diaper cover... that's a lot that could get covered in poop. But it's really flippin' cute.

Re: Is this too much for a newborn

I don't think it's "too much," so if you like it, go for it. For me, I'm all about the onesie for newborns. My baby is due Nov. 1 and I've already picked out girl and boy onesies for Christmas. I just can't deal with all the parts on an outfit like that.
