We just had to get a new oil burner upon moving in to our new home in April.

it was A LOT less expensive then I thought it was going to be using a great plumber who ordered a peerless burner through Blackman.

FM me if you'd like his info.

Re: Who should I call for a new oil burner? Any way to save $$?

By any chance did the former homeowners have Slomins? Ours did and instead of signing a new contract we took over the contract that they had from years ago & we signed on to that one. That contract is no longer offered but we were grandfathered in to all of the terms. Our new oil burner was free under the terms of that contract!! This is part of the reason why I say that it does matter what kind of people your sellers are. Our sellers helped us to keep the Slomins contract. We bought in 2005 and I don't think this is as easy as it was then & even then it was a rare situation. But still there are old contracts out there and ways to sign on to them. My husband priced the same burner and it was expensive!!
