20 weeks and lots of BH
Has anyone experienced this? I feel like I've been having BH contractions all day. I just called my OB and I'm waiting for a call back. I think I drink enough but I guess maybe not enough? I'm chugging seltzer now and waiting for a return call. It's not cramping or painful but I definitely notice it and it sorta takes my breath away. This is baby #2 so I'm wondering if this is just more noticeable this time around.

BH contractions are normal throughout pregnancy, but if you have more than 4 or 5 in one hour, then you should call your doctor and get checked out.
keep drinking and try to put your feet up and rest, if you can.

OMG YES!!! I told this to my DH and he brushed me off saying I was crazy. But I have been having them since 19 weeks and I think I drink enough water. I had them a lot with my last but it was towards the end so I do know the feeling too well.

Re: 20 weeks and lots of BH
These are definitely at least 4 an hour. I spoke with the doctor, he said I can either come to the hospital and be put on a monitor and IV or stay home, rest and drink water. I told him I'll stay home but I'm to call him if they don't stop in a few hours after drinking lots of water.
It does make me a bit nervous becuase last time I was contracting nonstop at 34 weeks and put on modified bedrest after they discovered that my cervix was thinning with it. My gut tells me I'm ok but I'm still a bit nervous.
Hoping this stops soon. I can take a few here and there but this is more than what I would expect to be normal.

good luck - i hope they stop (or at least, that you have less of them)
try to relax in the meanwhile - if your gut says everything is ok, it probably is!

Re: 20 weeks and lots of BH
Thank you, they seem to have calmed down a lot after almost 60oz of seltzer. Now I just can't stay out of the bathroom haha.

Re: 20 weeks and lots of BH
I went l&d with them less than 10 mins apart and at least 4 per hr. They told me normally they say to rest and drink lots of water and wait an hour. I'm twins so they said to just go in and not wait. Next time I got them I just started drinking water right away and they calmed down. Sometimes I think our bodies just need more water than other times. I didn't drink much water at all yesterday and was more active and didn't have any. Today I drank a lot and rested all day and I've had some so I'm downing more water.
