Do you prefer home parties or kiddie place parties?

Last year we looked into kiddie places too late and they were all booked or at awkward times.

Do you enjoy home parties or kiddie party place parties?

I personally like home parties better. It is so much work though. Our home party cost much more after the party planner, entertainment and catering. DH wants to have only parties at kiddie places from now on - cheap, easy and no clean up necessary. I'm thinking My Gym.

I prefer to only go to bday parties of family and very close friends, in home.
