Endometriosis and ivf

Has anyone had success with Ivf when they had moderate to advanced endo? I am starting my first round of Ivf. Not sure exactly what stage but based on my endometrioma on it is mod to severe. I am wondering if this is even going to work??? I have been researching all day but still have no idea!!! Looking for success stories
Right now doc does not want to operate. Feels cyst is not large enough.
Thanks ladies!!!

Re: Endometriosis and ivf

Have you had a lap to confirm and/or remove endo? You mentioned a cyst, how large is not large enough? Any history of ruptures?

There are plenty of success stories with women who have endo. I had some endo and other abdominal scarring that I had removed last year, mild case though. I would think each case is different, different prognosis, side effects, hormone levels etc.

I didn't even know I had endo til Dr B found it. (mild case). He sent me to Dr. Pillitteri to remove it. He said the uterus needs to be a "clean slate" for good implantation. Now I have Chat Icon Chat Icon

I was diagnosed with unexplained if and it wasn't until my c-section that I found out I had severe endo. My lo is 10 months old tomorrow so yes you can get pregnant with endo by doing IVF. Good luck!
