Anyone have any tips that worked for them to get the baby to turn? I really want to avoid a csection but of she doesn't turn soon I know I'll have to have one. At this point my doctor said its not likely that she'll turn but that he could try. DH and I aren't sure that we're comfortable with the idea of the doctor manually trying to turn the baby so I'm curious if any of the other little tricks I've read about online have worked successfully for any of you. TIA!

I would try Webster's Technique before having your doctor try to manually turn the baby. It's a very low force chiropractic technique that ensures your pelvis is positioned in a way to give your little one enough room to turn on their own. It's very successful, unless there is some sort of physical obstruction, for instance the umbilical cord wrapped around the baby. FM me if you have any questions, I practice in Islip.

I used several of the techniques I read about on this website: http://www.spinningbabies.com/, especially the forward-leaning inversion (I did it off an ottoman/couch instead of over the stairs). My midwife suggested placing ice packs on the top of my belly and either playing music or shining flash lights into the bottom, which she said is great. Another is to see an acupuncturist and chiropractor. I've heard they have an incredible 80% success rate in turning babies, but that's from internet reading (I certainly have never done a study on it and am not a doctor). That was going to be my next step to take if he hadn't flipped. I found out DS was Frank Breech at 27 weeks but he flipped before 34. It's also my second child, though, so he had some extra room in there (thanks to my daughter) and I've heard 2nd children often flip later. The ice thing actually worked for me, though -- I was shocked.
Definitely go to a chiro, though.
I've heard several friends who have gone here: http://lighthousewellness.com/ and have success from it. Don't know how far that is from you, but it might be worth a call!
