Stomach issues....
So ever since I found out I was pregnant by bm's haven't been the same. (i am now 6 weeks.) I am taking citra natal harmony, which has a stool softener in it. Since I woke up this am I have the worst stomach pain ever, feel like I have to go really bad, but I can't. I've tried drinking a ton of water today, ate about 20 prunes already and have had 3 glasses of apple juice. DH is worried that I'm trying to hard to go and will hurt the LO. Any suggestions? I am so uncomfortable and have not left the couch all day besides trying to go. Thank goodness it's Saturday and don't have anything I have to do.

Re: Stomach issues....
I would get constipated too in the beginning. I think its pretty common. I didnt really do anything about it just waited it out, hope you feel better!
ETA: I was still running back then (Im 37 weeks now) and when I would run it really helped. Maybe try going for a walk or exercise a bit if youre feeling up to it?

I don't know your story, but when I was at that stage I thought I was constipated as well. I was sooo uncomfortable so I was doing everything (prune juice, walking, etc.) to go.
As it turned out, my pain was actually not constipation, but caused by my ovaries being enlarged due to the fertility drugs I had been taking. I didn't know this until a few weeks later.
Hope yours is easier and you feel better soon!

Re: Stomach issues....
BENEFIBER!! I swear by it! I use it once a day in my tea or juice or whatever and it is the only thing that works. I tried prune juice and colace and it did nothing. If I skip a few days of it I'm in hell and bloated and crampy.
I bought the huge cvs brand jar. It fully dissolves and has no taste.

I found that miralax worked better than benefiber and my Dr preferred me to take that anyway. Benefiber made me VERY gassy.

Re: Stomach issues....
the prunes & apple juice could be causing gas pains on top of not being able to go, i would stick with water, walking & the benefiber.
