Q about Breast Pump Accessorries...

What the heck do you need????

My sister came to register with us and after Randy's eyes glazed over and we lost him somewhere in between Pack N Plays and High Chairs she and I were AMAZED at the number of accessories that are available!!!

What do you really need? If it matters I will be taking this thing to work and to the city one day a week which is about an hour train ride. And this is the pump I registered for...
Pump

This is going to be a pain, isn't it?

I have that pump too. You need extra membranes (the little white things that attach to the yellow connectors) because they need to be replaced every few months. I'd buy Lanolin cream since you'll likely be sore the first several weeks of BFing. If you plan to freeze milk, I like the Lansinoh storage bags. I use the Lansinoh disposable nursing pads. I leaked for the first 3-4 months.

I also bought an extra set of shields and a bunch of extra storage bottles. I found these things helpful for going back to work. I generally store the milk in the Medela bottles for a few days in the refrigerator. If I'm not going to use it within a few days, I'll freeze the extra milk.

Check out my registry on bbb. I registered with someone who worked there and she was super helpful.

Thank you both!!!

Cate, I think I am going to go back and reserve a time with one of their associates. There are so many other things I was just scratching my head over...

I am exclusively pumping and got the simple wishes pumping bra. It has been a life saver bc it frees your hands to do things instead of sitting holding e pump the whole time!

I would also get an extra set of parts so you don't have to wash them after every pump.

you convinced me to order the bra... With ds when I pumped I found it so annoying to have to keep holding everything up.
