My first RE Appt at Rsofny is today **UPDATED**
Today is my first appt at Rsofny with Dr. Halfen. I'm not gonna lie I have a case of nerves. I keep thinking about my previous visit at LI IVF with a Dr. I did not like so I guess that has something to do with it. From what I've learned from you ladies is that he is very caring sweet kind and knowledable. I'm hoping I will love him! Turns out I think I'm in fertile period so I don't know if we are able to do any treatments this cycle. I'll see what he has to say. Both DH are very excited to take this next step in our lives. We are ready to be parents. Just wish I wasn't so nervous!! I'll let you all know how it goes. My appt is at 12:30 today. Leaving work in 50 mins! Ahhhhh!!!!
**UPDATE**
All my nerves are calmed!!! I am so happy I went! I met with Dr. Halfen and he was the most kindest man I met. The staff was also so kind and very helpful. No complaints there. Dr. Halfen decided on a new protcol for me. No more Clomid. Being that I have been on for a while he doesn't suggest we start up again. With the amount of time I have been on Clomid I should of been pregnant. We are startting with Injectables. He is going to be putting me on Follitism. I have to go to class and learn how to give myself these injections. He also gave me a DVD to watch too. We are going to continue with the IUI's as planned. We have to wait for my next cycle so we can start this up. As soon as I get AF I will go in for bloodwork and my first sono. I'm on the road to becoming a mommy!! This will be the first time ever that I would be so happy to see AF. I hope we are pregnant before the year is out!!!!!!!

Good luck. Based on where you are I'm your cycle you may go in for a sono tomorrow or/and start your blood work

Honestly, they are all our Dr LoL I saw Dr. Stelling for my first visit. And this was my second.
First visit they took a whole bunch of blood, mainly hormone levels and genetic stuff. He and I went over all of my records from my Obgyn and discussed a treatment plan based on that.
Today is CD3 so I had to go in for more blood, an internal sono to check ovaries and measure lining so they have a starting point.
I saw the Dr and he told me results to DH's SA and started me on 100mg of Clomid. I go back Sept 24th (Cd13) for a sonogram to see if the Clomid is working and get results of the blood work from today.
Good luck today. I know how you feel. I was ready to vomit my first visit. It's scary. But they are really really sweet there and they put your mind at ease.

Hey--me too! Perhaps our paths crossed! This was my first time meeting Halfen! 
ETA: This is my 3rd attempt with RSofNY and I've loved them! I used to go to the Mineola office way back when...never had any complaints.

I love RsofNY! The staff is great the only problem I have is a monitoring appt takes longer compared to my old RE(45 mins compared to 10)

Dr. Halfen is a very sweet man. I don't have much good to say about the office staff but Dr. Halfen and San Roman are great!

Hi Phyliss! That would be awesome if we were to run into eachother!!! For the Monitoring I'm going to the West Islip office since it's right around the corner from me for the IUI's both DH and I agreed Mineola would be a better bet for us! Are you planning to go to the gtg in October?
