Best spanx for bridesmaids dress?
I am (yet again) in another bridal party and have to go for my bridesmaids dress fitting next month. It's been a while since I've been a bridesmaid and I'm afraid I'm gonna need a little help sucking in the tummy.
I'm 35, an apple shape and had a baby 18 months ago so I'm a little "loose" too. The dress is strapless and has an empire waist. The bride thought her sister might be preggo for the wedding but she's not. I'm afraid if I don't get some spanx everyone's going to think I'M preggo, which I'm not. Just built round.
I've worn something in the past that is a waist cincher. Think of a tube top but it goes from under your bra to about your hips. I found it was constantly rolling up or rolling down. I bought a second one with boning and it was SO uncomfortable. I was being jabbed with boning when I sat down.
What do you recommend? Should I get some support with the "legs"? Help. I'm clueless.
TIA!!!

I got ones from Macy's at Smithaven mall, they were light high underwear and they squeezed everyting in. They didnt cover the thighs though. I will check the brand when I get home and let you know which ones they are.

I've been searching around online and I think maybe I'll get a "slip" version with a bra. Seems like that could be most comfortable if it's all in one. But I'm just going to have to go try some on and see. I think ordering this type of product online is a no-no.

I had a "slip" version once and it was terrible. It rode up the entire night.
The best "spanx" type of undergarment I own is a brand called Body Wrap . It is so comfortable. I bought it for my wedding and still use it. I was told Georgette's in Hicksville carries the brand.
ETA: I bought this style
