Lovenox
When did you go on Lovenox and what was the reason?
I am 21 weeks and just had a high risk consult due to the fact that I had 2 stroke episodes. My neuro does not believe I need to go on it but the high risk says yes.
I am tending to lean with my neuro on this but I would like to hear about your experiences with Lovenox.
THANKS

Lovenox
I went on at 28 weeks due to 3 closts in my leg. In the future I will be one it from the minute I find out I am pregnant.
Do you see a hemotologist? If I were you I would see one and they are the ones that set my dosage and monitored my clotting issues. The high risk work in conjunction with them and made sure the baby was fine.

I actually don't have known clotting issues and they are not sure of what has caused my strokes. I have had so much blood work up and they are saying my risk of another stoke while pregnant is like 2% but still want to put me on it, but neurology says no.

I don't have any known clotting issues either and went through more blood test than I even want to count.....but pregnancy naturally thickens your blood and can cause clotting issues even for soemone with no issues....because you have had strokes I would agree with your high risk since the PG will thicken your blood...but I'm not a Dr. If you really want you can get a 2nd opinion from another high risk or go see a hemotologist. I love mine if you need a rec.
