Q if you had an episiotomy
how long did it take for you to heal? i am 4 weeks post partum.. and my episiotomy incision is still sore and bleeds (especially after going to the bathroom, sorry if TMI)... i just didn't know if it normally takes a while to heal? TIA!

Are you sure it's the actual episiomoty site that's bleeding? I don't think mine bled that long at all (and I had a 3rd degree tear) but I also had the regular PP bleeding so I didn't really notice where the blood was coming from. I think I would give your OB a call and just make sure they think it's normal.

At my 6 wk PP checkup mine also hadnt healed, not bleeding but still stung a lot. Dr applied Silver nitrate, which helped immensely. It healed shortly thereafter

Mine was sore for quite some time... Prob until 4 weeks but it def wasn't bleeding... I would consult your OBGYN if it's a lot.

I was defintily still bleeding and in pain until at least 6 weeks. Sometimes it was still difficult to even get up at that point. Call your Dr if your concerned but I dont think i was fully healed until 8 weeks - and that was normal
