Cord blood banking- where are you banking ?
We donated DD's cord blood at LIJ, the plan was the same with this baby but NSUH doesn't do donations. I thought we were not going to bank, but DH spoke to my OB , did research the other day and now he thinks we should, so looking into diffent banks, I have googled and so far I have crdblood.com (CBR) and Viacord. Seems like initial fee is  Bu annual fee isn't bad at all. So where are you banking and how much?
Also should I call the hospital and ask them if they have a bank they would recommend? I'm delivering at NS manhasset .

Cord blood banking- where are you banking ?
I'm using LifebankUSA because they also collect blood from the placenta. If you only do cord blood, their first year price is 2175. With the placenta blood, it's 3675.

CBR. We paid monthly fees of 177 for the first year of her life because the intitial fee was crazy expensive even with a coupon we had. Annually now it's $125. Not bad.

CBR--- I can FM you our contact if you want to discuss and he was great at explaing $$$ and giving us a good deal...LMK if you want it...
Viacord and CBR are pretty compatible with prices...

We went with viacord. They allowed me to use a $500 off coupon even though the coupon stated I had to be due before 9/15. The total came to 1750 for the initial fees including the first year fee. FM me if you want the name of the person I spoke to and I can also send you a referral through their website which would actually get me a free year

We are using Viacord, initial fee is $1,750 and I believe $150 a year for storage.

We used Viacord with our DD. It was about $1700 for the collection and it's $125/yr to store.
