pediatrician recs
I'm 30 weeks so I guess its about time to start looking for a pediatrician. Two questions:
1- Does anyone have any recommendations? We live in Levittown, so either in Levittown or a nearby town (Plainview, Hicksville, Wantagh, East Meadow, etc).
2- How do you go about figuring out which one is the best? When you go meet with them do you interview them? What do you ask them?

We met with this Dr and liked him a lot.

Also met with Pediatric Healthcare of LI in Bellmore and liked them.
We go to Bellmore Merrick Pediatrics on Newbridge Rd and are happy there.
I recently bumped a list of questions that I took with me to each ped interview.

We have lots of friends close by that have kids so we are going based on recommendation... we are between Seaford Pediatrics or Wantagh pediatrics. I am leaning towards Wantagh as I hear they are super accommodating when your kid is sick and they don't make you wait for hours like Seaford.

We go to Dr. Grillo on Hempstead turnpike in Levittown (& we travel to him from amityville). We love him....they have sick and well waiting rooms, are in the office 6 days a week (not all day but his schedule varies daily) and he's affiliated with Winthrop, which as an excellent pediatric ER (we've been a few times over the years). Another vote for Dr. Grillo. He's the best! Very down to earth and doesn't do more than 2 shots in one visit.

This is where we go. I didn't interview him. So many ladies on the parenting board had nothing but great things to say about him. So I thought I would give him a go. We've been there 3 times and so far he's been great. Even the big guy likes him.lol
