Moms that have had D & C's? maybe tmi

I had a missed misscarriage. Baby's heart stopped beating at 9 weeks 1 day. I have never had a problem getting pregnant and this was my first misscarriage. I have 3 children now.

I had a D & C on thursday.

Sunday night I was in so much pain and was passing huge clots. I was rushed to the hopsital where they did an ultrasound and said it looked like there could have parts conception in there. I had surgery at 6 am by the dr. on call. Dr. Osullivan.

She was very compassionate.

Now I keep having this feeling that I will never be able to get pregnant again because of scaring. I have read about ashermans and I keep saying that I'm going to have that now.

These past 2 weeks have been so emotional and now I cannot stop crying. I'm normal one min and I break down the next.

Anyone with any insight or inspirational stories. Please I'm looking for anything.

First of all hugs.....I've had two d&c's and am currently 30 weeks pregnant. We got pregnant the first time we tried every time Just give your body time to heal and don't start trying until your dr says its ok

( d&c's April 2011 at 8w4d, October 2011 9w) tried again feb 2012)

Very sorry for your loss and that you had to endure another surgery. Your feelings and emotions are very normal and might continue to go up and down. I call them waves. If you feel comfortable, I encourage you to talk about it. Give yourself some time to grieve and then you may heal at your own pace.

I've had 4 D&Cs, including one like yours that had to be corrected and I've had scar tissue surrounding my abdomen and uterus from a surgery since I was 3 months old. Although I had issues getting pregnant and with implantation, I don't believe that my history of D&Cs prevented me. I just had my
via c-section. Add that to the list.

I don't have the exact same experience as you but i've had 3 MC's and 2 D&C. It will get easier to move forward and you will always worry next time around but all I can do is tell myself that they just weren't meant to be

I've been through it and I got pregnant twice after. The whole process is very painful and emotional. Hang in there!

I had the same experience. Missed MC at 9w and an incomplete D&C. I had to take Cytotec to pass the rest.

This was in May and I've been trying (with the help of a RE) unsuccessfully ever since. I don't know what the future holds, but I've known many women who have gone on to have successful pregnancies after D&Cs.

I had a D&C followed by 1 healthy DC and 28 weeks with another. Sooo many women have multiple D&Cs and go on to have healthy pregnancies/babies. I am sorry for your loss.
