After asking 3 companies to give me an estimate we landed on John Goess Roofing in Massapequa. Nicest guy, the crew arrived on time and were efficient.

One of the other contractors had me replacing half of my roof. Another came too early in the am and we weren't even awake even though we arranged a certain time. I guess I should have been happy he showed to begin with but then when we asked for him to come back later, he didn't. Not even a follow up call. Maybe our job was too small for him. John was recommended to me by a friend who didn't even use him due to some time constraints. She used someone else and was unhappy with them and regretted not using him for the job.

I had two leaks in my roof and they were easy fixes and he told me I probably have 4-5 years left on the roof before I have to replace. The other contractor wanted to replace half the roof. We had a significant issue on the detached garage which I didn't even realize and his price was a full $1000 less than the previous contractor.

Just thought this would be helpful. He's also on Angie's list and gets good reviews. I like Angie's list. It's good to read through.
