16 weeks and had spotting?

I am 16 weeks and throughout my whole pregnancy I had no spotting whatsoever ... At my ultra screen they said the baby's heartbeat was strong and everything was perfect ... But yesterday when I went to go to the bathroom I had light brownish- pink color on my underwear (almost like the last day of a period look) and i had light cramps which I thought could be from the ligaments stretching. I got so nervous I went to the hospital but they said my cervix was closed and I wasn't getting any contractions and they found the baby's heartbeat ... So what could it be ?? I still have a very light pink color when I wipe. Please let me know if anyone experienced this ... TIA!

Your cervix can get irritated and bleed very easily - can be caused by Chat Icon

Some women bleed throughout their pregnancy - although not that common - it is normal for some.

Hope this helps.

16 weeks and had spotting?

I had bleeding on and off from 5-16 weeks... Turns out I had a SCH but it was initially so small it couldnt be detected via ultrasound. It had resolved itself by the time I went for my anatomy scan.

16 weeks and had spotting?

I had some spotting when straining from a bowel movement. Dr said my cervix was "sensitive tothe pressure"

Just take it easy and make sure you are drinking plenty. Chat Icon

When was your last ultrasound? If it was in the past day or 2, that's normal. I had slight spotting after my NT scan and they said it was from the u/s. Not sure why, but it went away in a day.

Re: 16 weeks and had spotting?

could be dehydration or from having sex or even walking a lot....drink lots of water and rest as much as you can with your feet elevated.

I had the same spotting at 12w, I was terrified, the dr. said it could have even been from the insides rubbing together, the vagina is very sensitive during pregnancy.
