Recommend your Glider that looks like an armchair
Looking for a Glider that I can use in a family room/basement room after the baby is older. I prefer the style that looks like an armchair, without the exposed wood.
Can you recommend your chair?
Do you recommend getting a reclining chair or getting the gliding ottoman?
How did your fabric hold up over time and for spot cleanings?
Where did you purchase and approximate price if you don't mind sharing?
THANKS!

Re: Recommend your Glider that looks like an armchair
I have a deutalier armchair glider. It is 5 years old. I can remove the fabric cover and put it in the wash. I don't think they sell mine any more but they sell other versions of it. What I will say is - when my DD was slightly less than 2 years old she got hold of a black magic marker and drew all over the beige fabric. It took 9 times in the washing machine (no dryer) but it did come clean. I tried contacting deutalier to see if I could get a replacement fabric and it would have cost as much as a new chair. Unfortunately for me the ottoman fabric does not come off so it is spot clean only. There are a few marks but it is still in good condition. I would look at PBK for what you want. They all cost about the same price. 5 years ago I paid about $800 for the set with coupons from BBB. HTH

Re: Recommend your Glider that looks like an armchair
I just want to say I have a regular arm chair and ottoman that I used in both kids rooms-- and I nursed DD til 16 months and DS we are still going, and it's comfortable.
If you want something that you will move eventually, I don't think you need an actual glider per se.
May give you more options in terms of price/style.

Re: Recommend your Glider that looks like an armchair
I have the Serenity Glider by Little Castle, we've had it a year and so far so good, its really comfortable. We were going to get it at Behr's where we got the furniture but then I saw the same one at Buy Buy Baby for less and I also used a coupon on it so it came to approx $300. We didnt get the ottoman bc we didnt have the room but I used a nursing stool sometimes when I needed it (got one in espresso to match the furniture).

Pic is in my album, but it's from BRU and it's the beige chenille fabric. We love it, so comfortable.
