B&B with more "modern" furniture

DH and I went to the Woolverton Inn as a late V-day trip this year. I absolutely LOVED it., The fireplace in the room, the huge bathtub, the quiet. DH seemed into it at the time ( ) but now that I want to go back he's saying he was really skeeved out by the antique furniture.

Can you recommend a place that's quiet, near a cute town, fireplaces, etc, but has more modern furnishings?

It's not a B&B but DH and I have stayed at the Saybrook Inn and Spa in CT. He rooms are really nice and spacious and they even come light the fireplace for you. There's also a spa and an excellent restaurant on site.
My friends and I always stay at Pearls in Newport. It's a boutique B&B. More modern furnishings, all Ralph Lauren sheets and towels. Nice breakfast- both cold and cook to order.
