uggh... I think I lost my plug.. update*

This is all unchartered territory. From my other post, many of you know I was in the hosp for ptl , which we got under control. Contractions still come about once an hour. this morning, a big (sorry TMI in advance) clump-white/no blood-dropped out into the toilet.
I had an appt with the Dr tonight but was told to cancel it since I was with him in the hosp yesterday. Should I go anyway?
Im not supposed to go back to the Dr until Thurssday.

From what I understand, it could have been from the cervical exam they gave me.. or it could mean nothing at all.

**update**thanks girls for checking in on me. I went in to the Dr, and cervix has shortened but Im not dialated. For now, i continue to be on bedrest.. and go back to the Dr next Wed (growth scans) and Thurs (monitoring)

Im feeling ok having caught up on some sleep but all of a sudden Im having trouble breathing. I feel like my lungs are literally being squished. i guess its all par for the course. I feel better about getting to at least 35-36 weeks given that contractions have slowed down for now and Im taking it easy. I have learned that I do not call the shots though, so whenever these babies want to come, is when they're going to come.
Thanks so much for checking in on me.

The plug can regenerate but since youve been having contractions I would call the dr. and let them know.

From what I've read, it doesn't necessarily mean that labor is imminent. But I would still go to the appt to have Dr check out what's happening. Hopefully nothing at all!

Sounds like maybe it was dislodged from everything you went through this week.

Good luck!!!!

It could have been part of it. It can regenerate or you can lose it and still not go into labor for weeks. I'd keep the apt at the dr. But then again I'm paranoid.

NM I just read your post from yesterday....you should see the doc! Did they send you home with Procardia or anything for the contractions? If it took mag to stop them and you had decels with them I would NOT mess around!

I'm glad I'm not the one paranoid one. The further along, the harder the struggle to keep them in! And apparantly the feeling of my pelvic bones being crushed is all par for the course and tylenol will help. Chat Icon Chat Icon

I had a very tiny bit of what I think was my plug 2 weeks ago and they said it was fine.

I lost mine last weekend, but wasnt sure bc it was totally different with mt first. When I had my appt yesterday the Dr, wasnt concerned at all. I did get a internal but nothing else. Then i was sent on my way.

no they just sent me home with bed rest instructions.. I think bc I was not dialated/effaced and congtractions stopped and heart rates were normal for 12 hrs after the meds.

I am going in to the Dr tonight though when hubby gets home.
Thanks for your response!
