Just read somewhere that the babybjorn is a bad way to carry your child. I had the moby and me and ds hated it. Just bought the bjorn and seems like a better fit already. Are there any that are better? or did i just waste my money again? TIA!!

What specifically did it say was bad and what was the source? DD loves the bjorn and I've never seen anything bad about it other than some parents finding it uncomfortable.

It is bad for their hips and are commonly referred to as crotch carries by baby wearing people. I'm guessing what you, most like is the outward carry the Bjorn offers, and that is the carry that isn't so great for them. I believe the Becco Gemini offers that carry with support. I bought a Boba 3G and LOVE it! You can do backpack carries and front carries where baby faces you, but most carriers do not offer that front option. You could look into a ring sling. They offer a few options or a woven wrap which is a lot like the MOby, but not stretchy. Look at you-tube and check facebook. I've read and heard that the Bjorn and other carriers like it are not good for baby, because they bear all the weight on the crotch, which can pinch blood vessels. It is also not good for development of baby's hips and spine to have their legs spread out and dangling, as opposed to knees above the hips. I love the Baby K'tan- very comfy for baby and parent, easy to use, and versatile.

Re: baby bjorn
Most babywearing experts will advise against Bjorns because of the way the baby is carried. The best carriers make a seat for the baby, which is better for their hips, legs, and back (and yours!) In the Bjorn, and other similar carriers, the baby kind of dangles. If you're only wearing the baby that way for a short time, it's probably not a big deal, but if you wear your LO a lot, I'd get a different carrier.

I had a Baby Ktan, which is a sling like the Moby but w/o all the wrapping. I just bought an ErgoBaby carrier, which gets rave reviews from anyone I know that has one. Moms love the back support, easy to use, support for the baby, and if you're BFing it's easy to nurse in it.

Uggh, I've really been liking the bjorn since letting DD face outward. She loves it whether we're out or if she's just fussy at home. She just got over hip dysplasia after wearing a harness up until a week ago. I wish I'd read this sooner and would love to hear her orthopedists take on this. Maybe I'll call and see if I can get some info from him.
