Cupcakes and cookie favors

Just booked DS 2nd birthday and I am so excited LOL. I am having it at Nunley's Carousel. I have a couple of questions and am hoping you ladies can help...

- I want to have cupcakes for the kids and a small cake for the adults. Do you think that this would work out or should I order enough cupcakes for the adults too?

- I plan on having carousel horse cookies made as favors. I will be making favor boxes for the kids so each child would get a cookie favor. For the adults can I get away with 1 cookie per family of adults? For instance if a family of 4 comes (2 children and both parents), they will get 3 cookies. 1 for each child in their favor boxes and 1 for the adult couple.

I think that all sounds fine to me. I would not expect a favor at a kids party for the adults. It is nice of you to do that.

i would do cookie favors for kids only, and each kid with their own box, as for cupcakes, i would do one or the other. either all cake or all cupcakes.

thats just me, there is no right or wrong, its however you choose

I always do a smaller cake and make about 25 cupcakes just to have, let the guests pick which one they want.

I do a favor for each guest also. I am having DS party in a few weeks and I was going to do goody bags for the kids, not give anything to the adults but IMO it was easier just to get cookies for everyone. I have so many friends that don't have children and are coming, bringing a gift, etc.. so I felt they deserve to go home with a little something also.
