Losing Weight....
I could swear that Emily is losing weight. She's wearing a skirt today that used to fit fine around her waist, and it's big on her today.
I know she didn't eat much for the days while she had Coxsackie and now she is still not eating anywhere near as much in the way of solids as she did -- and isn't making up for it with extra formula.
I'm concerned. We just did the thing where we weigh ourselves without her, and with her, and she was less then she was a month ago. She doesnt get weighed by the doctor until her 12 month check-up.

Re: Losing Weight....
Could it be that she grew in length? I know that Ava is SO freaking long, so nothing fits her waist.
ETA: I obviously didn't read well enough. I see you weighed her. I wouldn't worry, too. Maybe she is teething or maybe it is from the coxackie. I'm sure she's ok

Re: Losing Weight....
Maybe she has grown taller and slimmed down in the middle.

Re: Losing Weight....
Damien lost weight when he was about her age from a stomach virus. It is most likely from having coxsackie. Don't worry she will gain it back

Re: Losing Weight....
It just drives me crazy because she doesn't like to eat! She's always been that way, aside from the few months after we started baby food when she loved it, but once she went on her solid strike it's always been a struggle. I was up to the point where I wsa getting a good amount in her but then the Coxsackie threw that out of the water.
I got a lot of different stuff at the grocery store that we either haven't tried in a while or hven't tried before so we'll see how it goes.
I got her fruit cups and she ate the whole cup so that's a good sign! I'm sure it's loaded in sugar but it's something and I know I can send it to the babysitters next week when I go back to work!

Re: Losing Weight....
Kids go through different eating phases. Since she just got over being sick and didn't eat that much her stomach may have shrunk and she eats less but still feels full.
Try giving her things she likes so she gets in the habit of eating again. Then you can ease up on the not so good stuff and give her better foods.

Re: Losing Weight....
If it's a significant amount, I would contact the pediatrician. When they start to walk, they also start to slim down. If we walked & had the same ratio of physical activity as a toddler, we'd be exhausted. I wouldn't be too worried about it.
