? about the hospital??

are you supposed to take all the stuff home that is in the bassinett thing??? the extra bottles and whatever else is in there? a friend at work said to empty it out each time they come to your room??? TIA!

We did. Well, not each time it came to the room, we were only there 2 days the last time around, but yes, we took all the diapers, formula, cloths, creams, pacifiers, etc. WE did not take any blankets or clothing though.

Yes, the nurses kept reminding me to take all the stuff. It is for your baby.

ETA: We got a thermometer, a snot sucker thing, enough diapers for a week, gauze to wipe her little tushie, vaseline packets for changing, formula, and a bunch of other stuff. Plus, you get a diaper bag full of formula and coupons. AND I got bags full of free samples and coupons.

We just took the stuff on the last day...they told us to. My DH got to know the nursing staff (after 4 days...c/s) and they gave us a bunch of extra stuff too, so tell DH to ask. One thing we "stole" though (shhhh!) is this thick cloth pad thing that you'll be sitting on in bed. It came in handy as a place to put DD after baths, etc.

We took everything they put in it, mostly because the nurses told us to. They even gave us extra diapers and small bottles of formula after I had already emptied it (since I was having trouble with BF) At first I felt wierd, but they would remind me! If you get the chance, even take some of the blue leak pads home too, they were great to put down on the changing table when you give the baby a sponge bath (while waiting for the umbilical cord to come off)

Yup!! The nurses where soo great. They actually loaded it up with so much stuff so we could take it. Bottles, nursettes, burp clothes, clothes, comb bath soap, bowl, blankets, etc. I was so excited. I love free stuff

REALLY?! We got a black diaper bag filled with Similac formula and coupons!
