spinoff to fall maternity clothes- winter coat?
I'm due Nov. 19th. My normal winter coat is a size 4 pea coat so there's no way its fitting on me!
Should I get a maternity winter coat? Or would you bypass maternity and just get a bigger size? I figure I won't be fitting into my clothes immediately after anyway. Coats are just so expensive and I would hate to waste money.

I'd just get a bigger size coat you don't have to button all the way while you're pregnant but you'll be able to wear PP. Maybe check target or kohl's because they do have warm clothing and not too expensive. I definitely wouldn't buy a maternity coat.

I would kind of wait and see. I ended up just buying a large sweater. I was so hot during my pregnancy I never needed a coat. But if its a really cold winter you might want one....I'd wait and see how the weather changed.
Also look on old navy...they have them cheaper and put them on sale.

I would maybe just get a bigger sized coat since it doesn't usually get that cold in November. You might even be able to get away with just a heavy sweater. And then by the time it really starts getting cold your belly will probably have shrunk a good amount to let you fit into your old coat.

I don't think I'd buy one if I were due that early. Do you NEED a professional looking coat due to work and having to spend a lot of time outside? If not, I'd try to see what I could scrape by with. I have an old, hideous (but very warm) blue puffy jacket and amazingly still zips on me even at 9 months. Do you have something like that you can use when absolutely necessary? Otherwise I'd maybe try to get something really cheap, I hate spending money on things that won't get much use.

because you're due so early in the winter season i would say just buy a bigger size. You probably wont be going out that much with a newborn and when you do decide to go out you would have already lost alot of the baby weight!
i feel hot all the time so i think i may not even need a real coat in Nov, i think i'll just layer up with sweaters, scarfs and hats!

I was due the end of November the first time. I got a cheap $19.99 fall maternity jacket from Old Navy. It worked perfectly. I plan on using it for this pregnancy as well (due in December).
I wouldn't spend the money on a nice jacket, even a size up for PP.

If you can find a cheap one then buy one. Everything I read says that us pregos are too hot to close coats anyway. I'll probably wear my old one opened if I need one. But I'll probably deliver by late oct the latest.

Since you're due in November, you might be able to get away with just wearing it unbuttoned, and wearing a sweater and scarf.

I got a wrap coat from ON for about $30. My clothes didn't fit, but my coats did (which was handy b/c we kept getting blizzards during that winter).

Thanks!! I'm gonna see what kind of cheap coat I can find, maybe just in a bigger size. I think I'll need one because even though I'm pregnant, I'm still always cold!
