Bill for pre-term hospital visit where you were released?

Went in last week (LIJ) to be monitored for preterm contractions (on a weekend).

Was released stable.

If you've had something similar, did you receive a separate bill for this?

Or is it all rolled into the total bill for all maternity/prenatal care & delivery?

If you were billed, how bad was the damage??

Hmm I never thought of this. I'd think it would be continued care or like an ER visit. I want to go check my ins info now. They never asked for my ins info like they did when I've been to the er. I know they have it there since ive been to the er 2 x. They asked for my info both times there though.

Weird you should ask this, it just happened to me...I got a bill about a month later - it was listed as ER visit and the charge was $1100 but my portion was $222...I need to ask my doc b/c she asked me to come in to see her at the hosp vs her office.

I think the fee would depend on your insurance. I know I pay $50 for er, $75 outpatient surgery and $250 surgery. I'm not even sure what a c section would be. I need to call because idk if it's considered regular surgery.

I went to L&D at 16 weeks because I was spotting. My DS is now 5 months old and I have yet to receive a bill. I would think it depends on your insurance though.

i was in L&D for a ruptured placenta and i ddi not get a bill yet from them
