Question for those who have had Laser done
I've decided to get my bikini area done..can someone be honest and tell me how painful it is. I've done waxing and electrolysis...but 'm not great with pain. I know everyone's pain levels are different, but any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

Question for those who have had Laser done
I've done my arms and currently doing my underarms. I was told by the techs that that area is the most painful. I've done electrolysis too and I think laser is less painful.

Re: Question for those who have had Laser done
The Light Sheer Duet machine they use on me is meant to be "the pain free laser" NOT! I might be a wimp but I think it freakin' hurts! It suctions up the skin and then there is a feeling like a hot rubber band snapping on your skin. I have a hard time keeping up with conversation with the nurse who does it and the inner area down there is rough. --But I could be a huge baby and you might have no problem!

Re: Question for those who have had Laser done
I went once and then never went back, just because I went to the city and didn't want to trek there again. I'd like to a find a place close by but still can't justify the cost right now. It hurt a little less than waxing, but took longer and stung more. This also was years ago do I don't know if the newer machines hurt less. Good luck!

Re: Question for those who have had Laser done
It hurt but it only lasts for about 2 minutes and its not constant. The results are WELL worth it to me. I can $uck it up knowing how much i love the results. It was about the same as waxing but I don’t have to do it forever like you do with waxing, there’s an end

Re: Question for those who have had Laser done
depends on the machine... I've had it done by IPL machine and it was completely painless..
done by another machine don't remember type, it felt like firecrackers going off on my skin
oops I guess IPL isn't laser technically, but it worked as good as laser for me
I went to this lady, she did amazing job http://hairnorthere.com/hair-removal.html

I agree, that's why i'm doing..plus i live in a beach town and i just want to be bathing suit ready all the time. No matter how painful this is i'm gonna have to suck it up. I heard you can put on some numbing cream ahead of time to help with the pain..i am going to look into that too.

Re: Question for those who have had Laser done
The intensity of the laser increases each time which is more painful but also, as there is less active hair follicles, the less it hurts. This is what the nurse told me and it seems to be true. The first time I went I barely felt anything (weak intensity), the 2nd and 3rd times hurt (stronger intensities), just went for my 4th and it hurt less than 2nd and 3rd (higher intensity but I'm basically hair free after the 3rd session). It's super quick and it doesn't bother me afterward. I think it's totally worth it. The past 2 times I've gone, I've taken 3 extra strength Tylenol about an hour before my appt. My place has numbing cream but I've never used it.
