spinoff to hospital bag..
I brought cute swaddle blankets and hats for pictures and after all the yucky stuff is off. Infant nail files!!!! Sounds silly, but 12hrs after DS was born I was filing those razor sharp nails down.

No such thing as a dumb question!! You will still have vaginal bleeding after a section. I loved the hospital pads btw.

Re: spinoff to hospital bag..
I only packed a coming home outfit for LO. But I ended up having dh bring up pacifiers and my boppy pillow. Hospital did not have any pacifiers and I had a c-section and the pillow helped. I used the hospital pads. I brought my own but never used them.

Don't bring pads...they will have them in the drawer of your nightstand along with chucks and disposable underwear. Definitely bring a cute outfit and blanket for pictures. I didn't have to file DD's nails in the hospital.

C-section or vaginal you still need pads. The bleeding i experienced after delivery was heavier after my vaginal delivery opposed to my section. With both deliveries I did bring my own pads and used the hospitals for the first few days then used my own. Definitely bring a pillow for yourself and a boppy. Also bring your own towels. The ones at the hospital is the size of a hand towel.

I actually preferred the hospital pads and you will need them even with a c-section.
For the baby, I brought an outfit with a hat and little gloves so she wouldn't scratch herself, a blanket to put with the car seat, and the car seat. that was it.

Re: spinoff to hospital bag..
I just got home Saturday with my LO and I had a C-section. I packed two coming outfits for the baby in case he peed through one and one receiving blanket. You will bleed but the hospital will give you pads. Just make sure you have some at home. You will bleed the same amount of time as a vaginal birth. 4-6 weeks.
