XPOST: HSG today with a ?
I posted this on the TTC thread but I was hoping maybe you ladies can shed some light. I'm getting conflicting info:
How long after the HSG can I BD?
I think my OB wanted me to wait a cycle because of the radiation but I don't want to miss out just in case. I'm not Oing yet- probably sometime next week.
Is it safe to try this month??

Yes, totally try. Many women get pregnant right after this test. Don't wait. You have till CD14 or so (depending on your body). I think I waited a few days and then I gave it a try. I did get pg, the only time I did naturally but it ended up an early m/c. Which is do to something I'm still trying to figure out and certainly not radiation exposure. Good luck!

Thank you! Yes I heard that it increases our odds this cycle too. That's why I didn't want to wait.
I really hope it helps. If not, I start clomid next month

I hope you dont need clomid but if your going to take clomid please see an RE...an ob/gyn will not monitor you properly.

Yea that's what I keep hearing. If we get to that point, I'll definitely start looking for one.
The good news is that my HSG went well and they found no blockages. I feel so relieved!

I had my IUI 6 days after the HSG and that was my BFP cycle.
Definitely don't sit out! You're most fertile for your 3 cycles after the HSG.

My RE told me there was no need to wait! I was in a bit of pain after my HSG, but we got right to BD as soon as I felt better! Unfortunately, it didn't work for us that month!! And definitely go to an RE for clomid. They will monitor you via sono for days in advance so you can properly time either BD or IUI. Also, it's important to do a two week f/u to make sure no cysts have developed. Clomid can cause a cyst (I developed one in my right ovary) and I had to take a cycle off from meds.
