No one knows what this process is like until you actually go through it. What a process physically and mentally.
My story is a bit different. 2008 had an ovarian tumor removed. Unfortunately they had to remove my right ovary. Fast forward 4 years later another tumor on left ovary ( both were benign)
I'm 38 hitting 39 next month, in a serious relationship etc.
Gyn sends me for consult with RE. RE suggests I go through IVF and freeze embryos before I have surgery to remove other tumor because of what happened last time. ( I go to RS of NY in Mineola.. Dr. Trivax.
Start processs. Come to find out my AMH level is low- early stages of menopause  so down one ovary, low AMH and have another tumor.
Did the process this month- femara follistim menopur blood sono many many dr appts and I have 3 follicles and my retrieval is tomorrow. Dr suggest I do another round of IVF before my tumor surgery to ensure I have some more frozen in case something happens to other ovary. So round 2 is in Sept. I'm doing everything I can to make sure I have a chance to have children. Its draining but hopefully will all be worth it.
I'm sharing my story because only women who have gone through this can truly understand the frustration, anxiety etc of this process.

I feel like all life is is time between big decisions. Seems like you have had your share. Good luck with your retrieval and your next cycle. It sounds like you have a team that is looking out for your health and your future.

Thanks ladies. I felt better once I found this forum because even though my friends, family, SO, are supportive, I still feel alone in this process. They get it but don't really get it. Your stories are inspiring and helpful. ;)
