Screaming while eating

Anyone have/had a baby who screams during most bottle feedings? DD is 2 1/2 months old and has never eaten easily. She screams during 90% of her meals. She is a gassy baby and the ped says that is what her problem is but why does she only "complain" about it during her bottles? She is a happy baby when she is not eating. DH and I are at the point where we dread feeding her. Any advice?

does she spit up a lot, too? Ava has fussy feedings like that when her reflux is bad.

She rarely spits up. She screams and squirms after drinking about an ounce. She continues to do this even after burping. Her best feedings are when she is half asleep. Maybe she takes in less air when she's sleepy at the bottle?

do some research on reflux and see if she fits any of the signs. She doesn't necessarily have to spit up in order to have reflux.

It could also be the formula. Have you asked the doctor about changing it?

We're going through kind of a similar thing except DD used to eat well with no issues. I think it might be teething but I'm not sure, of course. Hold old is the baby? Is this a possibility? Does the baby pass gas? Ours does so I don't think it's anything intestinal or digestive.

My sister's baby is like this and she has Silent Reflux --- it's where the baby doesn't spit up or anything but still gets that reflux in her throat. I would look into that ... and also into changing formulas. What formula are you on now?
