Fetal Heart Monitor & Fetal Heartbeat
So i bit the bullet and bought one of those at home doppler machines so i could hear the baby's heartbeat to try to keep myself calm in between doctor's visits.
yesterday, i'm pretty sure i heard the baby's heartbeat but i was unsure because the last time i went to the Dr. i'm pretty sure the baby's heartbeat was about 150hpm but last night the average i kept hearing was anywhere from 130-140 which seemed lowe to me.
Does anyone know what the average hb should be at about 15w?
i know it couldn't have been my heartbeat since i heard adults average within 6-80hbpm
Thanks again!

my baby is always in the 140's when I use the at home doppler. Every time I see the Dr they always comment on how strong the hb is and they've never commented on anything being out of range.

That's about right. HBs will vary from day to day, and hour to hour, depending on activity level, for example.
In general, the HB starts off "slower" and builds up in the first trimester (as high as 180bpm). Once you hit the end of your first tri, it usually slows a little (~120-160). Then, it slows again the last 10 weeks of pregnancy until it reaches your baby's normal resting heartbeat.
