What week did you go for the 1 hour GD test?
My doctor gave me the lab paperwork today, but didn't exactly fill me with information. Is there a particular week that your supposed to go? Also, are you supposed to fast beforehand? Planning to pick up the drink first thing in the AM, so not sure if I should or should not eat breakfast that day.

I went around 26 weeks. My dr. told me I did not have to fast, and didn't give me any dietary restrictions, but I just had eggs for breakfast that morning- no carbs.

I was told to take it at around 27/28 weeks. You don't need to fast beforehand I'd avoid a carb-loaded breakfast, but IMO you should eat something (Greek yogurt, eggs, etc). Have a bagel afterwards

What week did you go for the 1 hour GD test?
I took it at 22 weeks because of a family history of diabetes. I fasted and still failed :( doc told me after that I did not have to fast for the one hour, only for the 3 hour should you need to take it.

I went at 24w
ETA: I wasn't told to fast. But I went at like 8am and only had water beforehand. I ate afterward and felt fine.

I went at 24 weeks. I didn't fast and passed the first time. Just don't go carb crazy.

What week did you go for the 1 hour GD test?
Went at 27 weeks. This is how they explained it to me... I could have a non-carb breakfast (eggs with no bread, etc.) and then have the drink. You need to finish the drink within 5 minutes of starting it and then you need to be tested exactly one hour after having started the drink. During that hour I needed to fast and not even have water as it could screw up the way I metabolized the drink. I would strong suggest calling the dr's office and seeing what they require.

My doc scheduled mine for 29 weeks. Not so sure why he scheduled that late. I was told to fast.

I have a family history of diabetes so I have to take it twice  Once at 20w and then I think again at 28w, assuming I pass the first time. I hope I do!

this! i will be going at 28 weeks and my appt is at 9am. They gave me the stuff to drink at home one hour before my appt.

I will be doing mine between week 25-26. I was told to not eat/drink ANYTHING (even gum or candy or sips of water!) after 6AM, then I have to drink the stuff at 7AM and then get tested at 8AM. Good luck! I'm hoping I pass too!

I went at 26 weeks didn't have to fast. The drink is recommend to be cold when drinking it. I had no diet restrictions just nothing to sugary and no eating or drink after you have the drink. Good Luck.

They gave me a date range, between 9/8 and 9/22 and I can't remember for the life of me whether or not they told me to fast. I guess I'll have to give them a call!

Between 24-28 weeks is the recommended time to take the test.
I went at 25 weeks and did not fast per the dr's instructions. Just ate a high protein breakfast before hand and passed with good numbers.
