Plainedge SD- Kinder students- Teacher assignment yet?
New to this and so far i have gotten nothing stating who her teacher is.
Im wondering if this is normal- or if I missed something.

The district I teach in likes to send the assignments just before Labor Day weekend. It gives the parents less time to ask for changes. If they plan it perfectly the letters arrive Friday before Labor Day.

Ok..I called.
I was away for a few days so I wanted to make sure I didnt miss it in mail or accidently threw it out.
Its going out Thurs and should be here by weekend but geesh, talk about cutting it close.
I dont know any of teachers there. Just hope two of the kids I do know happen to be in her class.

I wonder if it's the same for all Plainedge. I can't believe how close they cut it!! We don't know any of the teachers and T won't know any kids starting K there, but the school nurse lives across the street and I was hoping to bother her for info on the teacher before he starts. LOL

My neighbors mom works at HS- so she has an in and knows all too.
and hey to think down the line how T and G will be in the same school someday.
Maybe they will be friends?

Hopefully we'll get our assignments by the weekend and G and T both have the BEST teachers!!

I don't know anything about the district, but one of my very dear friends is a Kindergarten teacher there, and has been for a very long time

We haven't gotten ours yet either (different school district though!) DD's bus pass came last week and when I saw the envelope, I was all excited, thinking it was the teacher assignment, but nope!

That stuff usually comes at the last minute. I think they do it on purpose so that people don't have time to go up to school and ask for changes before school starts. I work in a school district but I also remember being a kid and waiting and waiting for my teacher's name or my schedule in the mail.
