ILS stay consistent in receiving good news!!
DH went home this weekend to share our good news with his family... FIL who I love was very excited, it was really cute, this is his first grandson who will carry on the family name... MIL really had nothing to say other than offering the following advice after me telling her I was mostly craving fruit... "be careful because the fruit will make you fat and give you diabetes..." Except she pronounces "diabetes" as "die-uh-bee-tis" which makes her sound even more ridiculous than usual... But uh thanks MIL, we are excited too!! Blech. And BIL didn't even say congratulations he just changed the subject to how he and SIL are trying to have a baby too. What a great brother... His only advice after bringing the topic back to himself was to not spend money on clothing because they grow so fast... Really??? Babies grow quickly?? You don't say... that's fascinating!!  He doesn't get on the phone to say anything but proceeds to email me pictures of his kid all weekend and doesn't mention anything in any of those emails. All class.
At least we know they haven't changed much since our wedding!! I'm actually glad they consistently prove me right about them. It makes me feel better about not liking them at all!!

and of course they're trying for another baby-attempting to one-up is their specialty

Glad at least one of them was nice!
My mom always has nasty things to say. She and your MIL should sit down and exchange unpleasantries. Her exact comment when I told her DD is going to be a big sister was "already?" Not even a "congrats" or "how are you feeling?" I still kinda call her "grandma b*tch" under my breath.

Atleast they are predictable!! Mine are like that also, we just kinda let most of it roll off our shoulders now.
