We're going in a week and a half. We do have insurance, but more so because we were supposed to take this tri in June but DH tore his bicep and needed surgery, then the hurricane factor. I was lucky that everyone fully credited us in June and I know I wouldn't be that lucky again if we needed to cancel.

100% yes. I think we will go with Disney's insurance - but I won't add it until final payment. It includes your airfare even if you book it yourself. They have some sort of hurricane policy - but for the most part the disney trip you basically lose the $200 deposit and maybe airfare. But the concern more is the expenses if you are down there and get stuck - and can't get home for a few days.

ABSOLUTELY! It's not the cancellation of the trip so much as it is if something happens while you're there. We've had a client whose 3 year old wound up in the hospital and then was MedEvac'ed out. Dad, older brother, and the nanny all left early to follow Mom and the sick child.
You also never know what may happen at home to force you to leave early.
$151.90 - assuming 2 adults in the room - is a small price for peace of mind.

Any trip that costs more than $1000 I buy trip insurance. Unfortunately I have had to actually use the Disney trip insurance and I can say the process was smooth and hassle free.
