Is this the start of something?

Will be 39 weeks tomorrow. Had my weekly internal this morning. OB said I was 1.5cm dilated, and she felt me having a contraction . . . I felt nothing! She also warned me there may be some blood after my appt, and she sent me home. Although she wants me back Monday morning. I don't feel any pain, bu there's been bleeding, more than just spotting. Is it weird I wasn't feeling the contraction?

My contractions haven't been very strong either. I had my 38 week appt on Wednesday and my doc said I will probably see blood after his exam. I never did though. You might be losing your mucus plug which is also called a bloody show.

I bled a lot after one of my internals last pregnancy. It was disconcerting but I was told not to worry about it.

Have you seen any mucousy blood? Like pink or red-tinged snot? That would be the start of something, definitely!

You'll feel labor contractions when they happen, but pre-labor contractions aren't always painful. It definitely sounds like you're getting close!

I lost my plug 8 days ago, am now almost 2 cm dilated and I've been getting lots of contractions but still no real labor!!! I am 38 weeks.
