Re: Urinary question
how many weeks are you?
Do you have any pain when you do go? And when you do go is it just a little or a lot?
I would think as long as there is no pain when you do go it should be ok. I believe signs to look out for a problem is pain when you go; and frequent trips to the bathroom and only going "a little"
Maybe just increase your water? I was having cramping a few weeks ago and even though I THOUGHT I was drinking enough; my OB said to drink even more; especially on hot days.

Re: Urinary question
no pain just seems like im not going enough.. kind of feels like when I normally go.. I dont feel much different yet Im only 5 weeks.. it says by 6 weeks I should prob be going all the time so maybe by next week it will be different.. I am going to keep drinking a lot of water. I honestly never drink a lot ever thats why I dont pee enough, lol!!! I dont have any pain though so I guess thats a good sign:) Thx!

Re: Urinary question
I remember early on I had read something about how you'll be "running to the bathroom" all the time that early. It didn't start for me until much later than that. Even though I drank alot of water I didn't pee more than normal in the beginning.

Urinary question
My first pregnancy I didn't even find out I was pregnant until I was 6 weeks pregnant. No symptoms at all until 8 weeks.
You should be drinking at least 64 oz of water a day. I have a REALLY hard time with it and force myself to have at least 6 glasses a day. It's a struggle. Now I'm having problems with the baby being breech and need to drink even more to try to make it easier for him to move around and should be drinking closer to 80 oz a day. When I was trying to BF with DD, I was drinking 150 oz of water a day. THAT'S A LOT OF WATER!!!!
You definitely need to be drinking more. But not having any symptoms this early isn't unusual. Everyone reacts differently to the hormones.
This pregnancy, I've been waking up every 2 hours overnight to pee around the clock since 5.5 weeks... which is also when the nausea and throwing up began this pregnancy. The throwing up finally subsided around 21 weeks but the nausea is back again now at almost 32 weeks.

Urinary question
i'm 31 weeks and am STILL not running to the bathroom every two minutes. Everyone is different and it's totally ok (as long as you're drinking enough, obviously)

I usually drink from 12 oz glasses and FORCE myself to have at least 4 large glasses a day along with what I call "incidental" water and liquids, which totally count. It's still not enough, but I'm trying my best. Some days I actually can knock back 6 glasses of water. Sometimes I gulp down two huge glasses first thing in the water just to try to get some behind me so it's not as onerous. I've just never been a water drinker so it's hard. I try to do some decaf green tea like a few oz in a glass then the rest water sometimes to just make it a little more tasty or I'll drink iced tea instead. (The passion iced tea with splenda from starbucks is among my favorite.) If you eat a lot of fruits with water in them, that counts too.
You may be a lucky one who doesn't get nausea at all. My best friend was pregnant with me last pregnancy (6 weeks behind me) and didn't have a day of m/s her ENTIRE pregnancy. She also found that her skin cleared up 100% and has been perfectly clear ever since (her daughter is 18 months now). She's a lucky one, but it happens. Hope you're as lucky as my best friend!

Re: Urinary question
My nurse told me I should be peeing at least every 2 hours during the day. I usually stop drinking water about 2 hours before I go to bed so I'm not up all night.
Around 6-12 weeks I was waking up 2-3 times per night, easily having to pee constantly. Now I'm at 14w and only get up once per night. But I always have water on my desk, in my bag, in front of the computer/tv at home as a reminder to drink, drink, drink.
On days you're more active, like exercising, or it's really hot out, make sure you drink even more than usual. You're drinking for 2 and have to keep the baby hydrated as well.
Keep the signs of dehydration in mind as well, like dry mouth or lips, headaches or thirst. If you're feeling thirsty, you aren't drinking enough.

I'm the same way and I'm 38 weeks. I only get up once during the night too. I do that non-pregnant
Don't forget that it's also hot out and you get rid of fluids other ways like sweat. Your body may also be retaining it to keep it cool.
