BTDT moms - washable or disposable breastpads?
I'm not sure which to go with. At first I wanted to get the reusable washable ones, thinking it wouldn't be so bad to just hand wash them at night. But do you only have to change them once a day or several times throughout the day to the point where it would be annoying to have to keep washing them and have plenty of extra pairs on hand?

Depends. If you're leaking a lot, you'll want to change them frequently. But you might not leak at all. Get both and see what you like better.

I've heard no one has ever found reusable ones that work well.
I don't have any experience. I never leaked a drop in my life. ::sigh::

crashing--I liked the reusable ones better than the disposable. I had about 4 pair of them and would throw them in the wash with the baby's laundry every other day.
For me, the disposable ones moved, did not hold as much and also made my boobies sweaty.

I loved my washable ones, but I have a washer and dryer. If i had to hand wash it probably wouldve sucked. I can't remember what frustrated me about the disposable, but I think it was the fit. A lot of them come folded and just don't lay right. But I did keep some disposable in my diaper bag for leaking accidents. I already have both kinds of pads in my bags, ready for delivery.

Thanks for all the tips so far ladies! I do have a washer and dryer, I just thought they would have to be hand washed since they're small and delicate, but that's great if I can just throw them in the machine! I think maybe I will get some of each to try them out and see what works for me.

My sister said the disposable ones make it look like the bra is stuffed. The reuseable ones she said are great, she recommended lily padz.

They usually come with a little laundry bag that you keep them together with.

I really like the reusable ones and only used the disposable when I didn't have clean laundry!
