When did your DC start riding a tricycle?
DS is 2yrs 10months and we just bought him his 1st trycle. It doesn't have a push bar, he actually needs to propel himself into motion. He is not interested in it at all.
It's this beautiful shiny, red Schwinn trike and he could care less. We put him on it and he was fine as long as we pushed him but he could not move the pedals and wasn't interested in being taught.
When did your DC start riding a tricycle on their own? And how did you teach them to pedal?

When did your DC start riding a tricycle?
DD started when she was 2 yrs old. Basically we pushed her a little to start the momentum and then she got the hang of it. Definitely didn't start day one.

Got DS a tricycle at 20 months. He couldn't even reach the pedals. Last summer he tried to ride it but couldn't do the peddles until late last summer.

DD just started at 2 yrs old. We went and got her a helmet which she LOVES to wear (even walking around) because Dora the Explorer says you need it to be safe!

Dd is 27 months and we got her a bike for her bday and she has no interest. She likes to push it around or be pushed but mostly wears the helmet and pushes it. I wish I got her a scooter and waited on the bike

3. I tried earlier and he wasn't into it. He could pedal once or twice but couldn't get it going. No interest either. My aunt who is a pt told me it's a 3 year old skill. He turned 3 in May. Sure enough, we were at a block party in late july and he took off. He is riding like a pro now. Give it a few months.
