Why do some people have to be so smug? A Vent!
Okay - so a friend of mine (who is a new mother of a 6 week old baby girl) posted on facebook that she has seen a video of something called the 5 cries of babies and it had been a life changer for her. I thought it was interesting so I sent it to my SIL who had a baby about 3 months ago. I just thought it would be nice, ya know.
Her response - "Thanks, as a parent you quickly learn to distinguish those sounds".
UGGGHHHH....It just rubbed me the wrong way. NOT to mention that the other day I saw her being frustrated trying to figure out why her baby was crying. What about all of those other frustrated mothers who can't figure out why their babies are crying. Oh and I am SORRY that I am not a parent so I couldn't POSSIBLY understand.
Perhaps it was just my SIL that rubs me the wrong way.

I would have come back with something like, "as a friend you tend to learn when people are just being nice/helpful". No need to be rude.

I know right! I just let it go and didn't want to say anything I would regret. She just needles me to no end!!

i would let it go and not put myself out there anymore. so if you ever get the urge to help her out by sending her something, RESIST! she doesn't sound like a very friendly person
