Nuchal test question
Had my NT scan today at 12 weeks 6 days. The tech said the baby is growing nicely and the #'s looked good. She said once the blood work comes back they will have a percentage # for me. The whole thing felt rushed and I was only in the room for about five minutes total. Should I be worried that it was so quick? W/ DD, I feel like the tech took more time and we got to see a lot more including going home w/ a facial profile. She briskly printed out one image and that was it. My paranoia was thinking "maybe she saw something bad and didn't want me to notice". Is it usually that quick?

Re: Nuchal test question
i wouldnt worry that she was fast since she said everything looked good from what the sono tech told me when she did mine, they are really looking at two (or maybe it was three) specific measurements and as long as they got those its all they need. turns out my baby was not cooperating (kept moving and rolling) so she had more time so she just kept showing us the arms, legs etc...but i think it was just to kill time until we got the baby in a better position try not to worry

Re: Nuchal test question
From my experience, with them finding something. your not rushed out of there. And when they tell you its over they tell you to schedule an appointment with your dr asap to discuss the results(if they can't share them with you).
I wouldn't be worried. It probably just means the baby was in great position and you had a good tech who could get the pics they needed quickly.

Re: Nuchal test question
as others said, i wouldn't worry about a fast appointment. if there was something wrong, they would have definitely kept you there to tell you.
when they found something at our level II, it took about 20 minutes for the doctor to come in after the tech was done.

This. I was in there a long time but only b/c baby was either face down or facing my back. She barely got the measurements of the spine when the baby flipped again. We had to wait like 10 more minutes for her to visualize the nasal bone. But if your baby is positioned correctly, it really only takes a couple of minutes.

Nuchal test question
Yeah I agree with the others. When I had my NT done, my tech took her time but it's just the way the office is and the tech is I think. It was more for our enjoyment. The nuchal fold takes seconds to measure so it's not odd that it was quick. The anatomy scan at 20 weeks will take longer, or at least should, since they're looking at EVERYTHING.

Nuchal test question
5 minutes sounds about right. If they rushed you next door to meet with the doctor immediately, then I'd be worried (that happened to us at our anatomy scan with DD). But if she got all the measurements and didn't get all hush-hush and panicky, it sounds like it was fine! Did you ask her if you could have a profile shot? I find I have to speak up a lot if I want something specific. This pregnancy, I asked if she'd look for the gender... got a great shot of DS's penis at 12 w that way!! We were so surprised!

Nuchal test question
Your LO cooperated! When techs take longer it's mostly because the babies are not cooperating and they need to try to get measurements from other sides or do stuff to get the baby to move.
