Bob-o-pedic mattress

Our 5 yo Serta is crap. It sinks in the middle and I'm not sure if maybe it's from moving it and having it bent.

My sister just got a bob-o-pedic adn loves it. I'm just looking for more feedback on it. DH likes to sleep in the middle of our king bed. I still have room on the sides, but my fat prego arse can't roll out of the gully it makes. I need a gully free bed or we are going Lucy and Ricky style with twin beds. Chat Icon

Re: Bob-o-pedic mattress

We've had ours for about 3.5 years. I still love it. No gullys, it doesn't transfer motion, so when either one of us turns over, or gets in or out of bed, it doesn't disturb the other one. It does retain some heat, but that doesn't really bother me. We have CAC in the summer, and extra heat in the winter is always a plus.

We have the firm mattress.

I would definitely recommend them.

Bob-o-pedic mattress

We have 2. One in out bedroom we have had for just under a year and it took a week or so to get used to it.

The other is on the pulloit couch and it only a few inches thick. LOVE IT. I slept on it for months at the end of my pregancy whenI was not allowed to go up the stairs. I couldn't beleive how comfy something so thin could be.

Bob-o-pedics are def worth it!

Re: Bob-o-pedic mattress

I am so in love with ours! Best investment we made. I have bad back problems & since having the bed I've been fine.

The only problem is I can't take the bed everywhere with me so vacation kill my back! Chat Icon

Bob-o-pedic mattress

We love it- it's basically eliminated all of my DH's back problems. We've had it for little over a year now, and we have had a great night sleep ever since. The only "issue" I have with it is that the sheets never stay on, even though I have the deep pocket sheets. It's such a minor thing and it may just be me, but it bugs every morning lol

Yes, this is the only annoyance I have with ours. The mattress protector that they try to sell you never says on the bed. Every morning the thing is half way off, along with the fitted sheet. We had to get those sheet suspender things to help it stay on.

Bob-o-pedic mattress

We love our Bob-O-Pedic for all the reasons listed above.

I do agree that using their mattress protector is annoying and we have the same issues. My plan is to get a mattress protector that zips around the entire mattress to go over the one you are supposed to use from Bob's. Then I will put my sheet over that.

We have one (I think we've had it for a year and a half/two years.) We love it! Besides the aches and pains from pregnancy, my back hasn't bothered me since we got it!

Re: Bob-o-pedic mattress

OK, Thanks everyone! I think I need one. I can't move my prego belly around in my current bed and get burning hip pain when i sleep on my left side. I can only imagine how annoying it will be after a c-section trying to get up and feed the babies all night Chat Icon

Re: Bob-o-pedic mattress

I have a TempurPedic and I LOVE it but it tooks months of getting used to and it might be ahrder when you're prego

1) Those things retain heat like a mofo. We have to have NO heat on in our bedroom. We're freezing at first but once we've been in bed awhile, we're sweating.

2) There are no springs to "bounce" you and support you getting up. it does sort of sink in around you, so it requires more energy/effort to change positons and get out of bed.
I've had the bed for so long that i don't even notice this anymore. I'm just used to it, but I remember another relative with back problems told me they returned their mattress for that reason and it is true. Initially you will feel like you're in a gully you have to get out of. You don't realize how much the springs kind of help you manuever on a standard mattress.

My back was very sore for the first few weeks.

I'm overall very happy with the mattress now and it has helped my back and done all it said it would, but it did take major adjustment and I don't know if I'd want to go through that while pg.

Re: Bob-o-pedic mattress

We have one and when DH's side starts to sink, we rotate it. You can't flip it upside down though so I don't know how that would work with a DH who sleeps in the middle.

The Bob-o-pedic sinks? is it supposed to?

My Tempupedic doesn't sink at all as far as I can tell.
