Well, looks like we aren't going to be homeowners after all
There's been too many issues and problems to list, too many people I can't trust, so we decided to pull out of the deal.
I found out my contract is not legally binding, and I'm going to have to threaten legal action against the seller to get my DP back. The scumbag piece of trash who stopped paying her taxes and gave her house away wants MY money, and that's not happening.
This has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I am sick at the thought of having to go through this process again when we do find the right house.
Onwards and upwards, I guess. This was not the right house for us, but the one thing I learned is to ALWAYS trust your gut. Be suspicious of EVERYONE because in the end no one was looking out for my DH and I.

Oh my goodness, we are going through a tough sale right now too! The selling agent has been scheming from the get go bc she wanted us to offer more money, she has changed our scheduled inspections 4 different times now without notifying us, she has made MULTIPLE comments about how we should really offer more $ then saying we shouldn't waste our money bc we aren't going to get the house anyway (it's a short sale) I am hating the house buying process (I know I asked for a headache when we decided to look at a short sale) I never thought it would be this bad.

That really sucks but it may be a blessing in disguise. You and your DH will find your home eventually and everything will fall into place

We had issues with contract after we signed that made it void. Our lawyer said 95% of the time, you get DP back.
