How good is the "Intelligender" kit found in Rx?

You know, the box you can find in any pharmacy that tells you if you are having a boy or a girl?

I see them all the time...I'd love to find out the gender, and even the box says not to take the results as gospel, but just curious if anyone here tried it and if the result was correct once confirmed by sono?

My friend used this test, and it ended up being accurate for her. She had a girl.

If you go on youtube, you can find a lot of videos and news stories about it.

not sure about intelligender but don't use "gendermaker" (got it for $25 off amazon). It told me i was having a girl and i'm clearly not!

YES! $30ish when I had my son in 2010 (though I would have used it in 2009)

I'm surprised to hear people saying it's accurate becuase I've usually heard it's about 50% accurate (from real people who take it of course).

How good is the

Just do the baking soda fizz test. Much cheaper and just as accurate. (ie: completely a coincidence if it's right)

Here's info about the baking soda gender test:

http://blogs.babycenter.com/community_buzz/baking-soda-gender-test/

From the above link:

If you’re pregnant and anxious to find out the gender (as I was), you may find yourself resorting to various methods to satisfy your curiosity, especially if you get a limited number of ultrasounds during your pregnancy. The Pregnancy Board has been discussing on and off for the past year a particular kind of DIY gender prediction test, namely using baking soda.

That’s right, baking soda. What you do is put a little bit of baking soda in the bottom of a disposable cup and then add a little bit of your urine to it. If it fizzles like a soda pop, it may be a boy. If there’s no fizzle, it may be a girl. This method was used by several members as a way to test the accuracy of their gender ultrasounds and out of 31 baking soda tests, 22 were right and 9 were wrong.

About the same odds as the intelligender of being right and a lot less expensive.
