Is it too late in the summer to do a large landscaping planting project? Should I wait until the spring?

I don't think there is a right / wrong time...
landscapers warranty / guarantee the bushes / trees they use. make sure you have that, and really who cares when you do it, kwim?

I just wouldn't do it if there was a stretch of really hot days. That'll stress the plants out too much (and you too!)
