Hawaii
My daughter will be a senior this year and wanted to reward her with a trip to Hawaii. I know this is an expensive trip but how expensive?? Can anyone share some quotes with me? Since she graduates in June, when is the best time to go?

Re: Hawaii
DH and I went to Hawaii a couple of years ago in April and found it to be fairly reasonable in terms of lodging around that time of year. We rented self-serve 2BR condos on the beach from VRBO.com for less than $100/night on both Maui & Kauai.
And the whales were still near Maui so we got to go on a whale watch - highly recommended!

Re: Hawaii
The summertime and holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, etc.) are "peak" seasons for Hawaii. Off-peak (quieter times and cheaper are Sept/Oct/Nov (before Thanksgiving). The best way to get an idea of price is to go to www.pleasantholidays.com.
You can price out a trip and take it from there. It varies widely. Our first trip was just under $8,000 for the 2 of us (without airfare) for 2 weeks. Our trip to Maui last year was $5,000 for two weeks (without airfare).
