spinoff to team green - names
how many of you are announcing the name(s) before your child is born?
with our son, everyone knew the sex and his name from 20 weeks on.
this time around, we will find out the sex but will not announce the name until he/she is born

Hells no! We know one definitely but have no clue on the other. We don't want opinions. I'll discuss it with certain people who have a clue and aren't dumb and wont be like "eeww you like that name"?? They will find out when the birth certificates are signed.

Everyone knows that if we have a boy, he'll be named after his daddy... but if it's a girl, we'll tell people a few names we're considering if they ask, but not the actual name until the baby's born!!

Well we have a name picked out for DD that we love and we think we will use it. However we are still open to other names. My family keeps asking and are driving me nuts. So i have been telling them that we havent made up our mind and are not sure what name we will use. They seem a little ticked we arent telling them, but I dont really care.

We definately have our boys name but are still tossing around girls names. People keep asking so i've been telling them we havent decided on any. Some people got annoying about it so i flat out said, we arent announcing names until this baby is born, sorry. With DD i made the mistake of telling my friend that we were thinking about Alivia for a girl's name. She was like "That's the pig's name you cant use that!!", meaning Olivia the pig from the show. She didn't know i was going to spell it differently but thats besides the point. Well my hormones got the best of me and i bawled my eyes out to DH and swore nobody will know the name until that child was born. We still named her Alivia anyway and decided we arent revealing names this time around either.
People can be so critial about names, especially if the baby isnt here yet!

Team  and I am not telling people if we decided on a name.
I may give them a list of ones we like but that is it! I don't want to hear people's comments like last time. My mother literally said "yuk" when I told her dds name!

I really dont know yet. Shaun seems like he wants to talk about names a lot so i think people will know. Im not gonna worry about it... I really dont care about people opinions either so that wont bother me.

we didn't tell anyone the names until they were born. I knew people would have opinions, especially my ILs, and I didn't want to hear them.

we plan on finding out the baby's gender but we won't be revelaing the baby's name until its here. I don't want unsolicitated opinions on the baby's name so everyone can wait until its born!

Mostly everyone knows our name choices by now, but only bc DH is too honest. I kept telling people "we're not sure yet", but DH couldn't wait to let everyone know!

we kept the name hush except for our parents until baby was born. later tho, my friend confessed that my MIL slipped at the baby shower!! I was 34, almost 35 weeks then. we had almost made it  luckily, only a few of my friends were there and they were great at keeping it a secret 
before we gfound out the gender, we had run by some names to our friends and everyone had an opinion that's why we decided to keep the name a secret when we decided on it
