spin off to second time around post - are you "nervous" about the newborn stage?
As I posted in the other thread I am very, very nervous about having another CS , but I feel like I am even more nervous and almost scared of going through the newborn stage again, my DD was truly a nightmare , she never slept, she had her days and nights mixed up first 4 months or more and cried uncontrollably for months and months, first 4 months were the worst, but even after that she was just such a difficult newborn, no issues with BF or feeding, she was great, it was the sleeping , or I should say NEVER sleeping, crying all night and tummy issues what drove me crazy I am so afraid of going through the same thing this time around, especially because now I also have a 5 yo . I know it's silly to think and worry about it in advance, so I try not to think about it, but some days I can't help it... Then I wonder if I am alone , anyone else feel this way?

Re: spin off to second time around post - are you "nervous" about the newborn stage?
i am nervous about the first two weeks after my csection - taking care of my 2.5 year old and feeling like crap. It kills me that I wont be able to lift him etc.
I am not so worried about caring for our newborn, maybe because my first was a dream baby. I know no different. I PRAY #2 is also a dream
I am worried about getting out of the house with 2. I am worried about putting together a new routine/schedule with 2. I am worried about DS feeling neglected

I'm not really worried about it because I know it's temporary.
But during one of DDs tantrums last night, I was imagining a crying newborn at the same time and trying to figure out how I will handle both!

YUP! Super nervous! I feel like I'm in for a doozy. My DD was a relatively easy newborn, I mean she didn't sleep a ton, but she also didn't cry for no reason. She'd wake up eat and most of the time go back to sleep. I'm really worried that she jinxed me and the next baby is going to have colic. I'm mostly nervous about how I'm going to handle it. When my first would rest I would rest too! This time around I can't imagine that my then almost 2 year old is going to let that happen.

I am not really nervous...and DS is super excited for baby sister. DS was HORRIBLE from birth -13 months. He had reflux and didnt STTN until 13 months. He is now a dream child (except for those tantrums) I am hoping since #1 was so bad that this one will be an angel(wishful thinking) I am really a go with the flow kind of person and I really dont get too worked up over stuff before it actually happens. So ask me when i actually give birth how I am doing!

YES! DS was a nightmare when it came to being a newborn. He was up every two hours for the first 4 months, and would take 1 hour to drink his bottle which gave me about 20 min cat naps everyday for 4 months. I was a walking zombie. Plus, now I have a very active 3 year old. I get paranoid that I can't handle it.

You are not alone! I'm very nervous about everything. I'm nervous about the recovery from birth because with DD's birth i tore really bad and had hemmroids which i had never experienced in my life, it was awful.
I'm nervous about the newborn stage because every baby is different. DD was great, no real gas issues and slept through the night at 6 weeks but everyone is scaring me telling me since we lucked out with DD being a great baby that now we are not going to have the same luck with #2 so thats freakin me out. I've been trying to prepare DD for the baby and she is soooo excited to be a big sister but again, everyone is telling me she is going to lash out in some way or another but i really dont think so. I dont know, maybe i need to stop letting people get under my skin so much and just see what happens.

Not alone! I have alot of time but I am already worried. My twins were such GOOD babies, I am terrified this one won't be.
My twins will be 26 months so naturally I am nervous about having 3 kids under 2.5.
I didn't even think about recovering from a csection (although I am hoping for a vbac) that will just add to the craziness!

spin off to second time around post - are you
When I went from 1 to 2 I was nervous for the baby stage again. My first was difficult, and only realized how so much more difficult he was compared to my second. My second was easy, just normal, basic needs were met easily. So going into the third I'm not nervous, just really wishful that this one is like my second!!

Michael was an easy baby but no matter what the lack of sleep finally catches up to you and you become a zombie. The good thing is that at least now we know its only temporary, it passes so quickly and I think its important to keep that in mind. Also, all babies are different. Hopefully for you T, your DS will be an easy baby and I'm sure you remember all the comfort tricks. I'm just praying for an easy newborn

SCARED TO DEATH!!!!!!!!! Michael was an easy baby, so I am afraid we will pay dearly with this baby. Even if she is 'easy', nothing prepares you for the newborn stage.

Re: spin off to second time around post - are you "nervous" about the newborn stage?
My first was a pretty easy baby, he just ate like every 2 hours, so I never slept. THAT was the roughest part for me - the sheer exhaustion. But it all was a phase, and I survived (barely).
I'm more concerned about the first 2 weeks home with another c-section, and caring for a 3.5 year old who still wants to be held and cuddled at night.
I keep telling my DH that the new baby is all HIS this time around.

I'm lurking here, but I just wanted to tell you my twins were 26 months when #3 was born, and having one baby was soooo easy compared to having two. Seriously, it was like nothing. The twins were pretty good during the first couple of months too. I had to let them watch the tv a lot, but such is life.

I am. I get scared every time I think about being totally sleep deprived with a screaming newborn and a high energy not even 2 year old. I just keep telling myself it will all work out.
